Possession IV: The Battle – A Warrior’s Last Stand

Possession IV: The Battle

The cross is heavy in his hand, forged from iron and salt. It glows faintly—not from light, but from purpose. Fire dances in his fists, licking at the cold air as he steps forward into the dark.

The thing inside him screams.

But he does not.

They told him possession was a slow creep—a whisper in the dark, a shadow at the edge of vision. They were wrong. It came like a storm. Brutal. Violent. Immediate. By the time he realized what was happening, the battle had already begun.

Now, he is both battlefield and soldier.

Hood drawn low, holy flames flickering, he walks the threshold between worlds. In one hand, the flame of purification. In the other, the symbol of resistance. His own soul trembles beneath the weight of what he carries, what he contains.

He is possessed. But he is not lost.

The entity snarls inside his skull, clawing at memory and meaning. It offers him visions—his family screaming, fire consuming his home, the sound of his own voice begging for mercy.

But he knows the truth. These aren’t prophecies. They’re tactics. Desperate attempts to break him.

So he walks on.

Ash rains from above. Blood seeps from the cracks in the ground. Every breath feels like it could be his last, but still he moves forward.

He reaches the altar.

There is no one there.

Just a mirror.

He steps in front of it. The reflection does not move.

The man in the mirror grins.

Black veins spiderweb across his face. His eyes glow like coals. The cross in his reflection’s hand begins to melt.

But in this world, he still holds the flame.

He raises the torches.

The scream that erupts is not human. The mirror shatters. The ground cracks. The shadow inside him writhes, howls, panics.

Too late.

He’s already won.

Inspired by the Possession IV Battle Tee

This tale is pulled straight from the Possessed Collection’s most iconic piece: Possession IV: The Battle. The design captures a warrior mid-exorcism—fire in hand, cross raised, darkness at his heels. The bold contrast, jagged textures, and medieval-meets-metal typography all evoke a narrative of internal warfare.
